Warmwell Holiday Park is a subsidiary of Parkdean Holidays. Set in beautiful tranquil Dorset countryside, 10 minutes from the beach, the site houses 211 lodges, in a variety of sizes and degrees of luxury. Open nearly all year round, the park has become a perennial favourite for holidaymakers. The triple- award winning site works hard to provide a gold standard of comfort and cleanliness, contracting two cleaning firms working in 24 hour shifts because, in high season, Warmwell offers a flexible accommodation package with a choice of three arrival/departure dates per week.
Challenge:
A young family, consisting of three generations Gran, Mum and toddler have booked a short break during the site’s high-season. Unfortunately, the mother arrives unwell, complaining of stomach cramps. Inside 48 hours, it is apparent that her health has seriously deteriorated. A doctor diagnoses severe gastroenteritis and summons an ambulance to take the family immediately to hospital for treatment and observation. The challenge is now on to stop this highly contagious infection spreading through cross-contamination at the holiday park. Adam Burford, Deputy Manager Warmwell, acts immediately calling on Matrix Cleaning Services to deploy its crack team of trained cleaners to the infected lodge. Although not rostered to clean this section of the site, the cleaners are in situ within the hour; now the challenge is to conduct a full biohazard clean in just over 2 hours, as there is another booking for the lodge later that day.

Any trace of the infected area had been eradicated. The chalet was disinfected, cleaned and washed on time ready for the next occupants so that they could start their holiday.
